The whole company of humanity will bow before the Lord of all;
the proud will be brought low, and every person will return to dust.
1
He will come from heaven in glorious splendor,
to protect and preserve His people
who are suffering and weighed down with sorrow.
2
Do you consider His solemn words
to be insignificant and disregard them?
Will you turn away from the truth
and choose your own path?
3
Even if you lose everything in this world,
you will receive a hundredfold in return.
And beyond that,
you will receive the kingdom
and the gift of eternal life.
4
Even here, the servants of God may suffer
while sinners appear to prosper.
But after God's anger and judgment come,
the wicked will face the consequences
of what they have done.
5
When that day comes,
a day burning like a furnace,
the fire of judgment will blaze.
Human beings will be as fragile
as dry straw before the flames.
6
Nothing will remain of the wicked—
their roots and branches will be gone,
leaving only ashes beneath the feet.
But those who walk in righteousness
will shine brilliantly.
7
Remember how the Jews rejected Christ
and the sorrow that came upon them.
Take heed,
for you too are not exempt.
The same warning applies to you:
do not reject the Lord.
