In times of sorrow, the Lord will support me with His hands.
When I am troubled and afraid,
The One who has stood by me
Will guide me safely onward.

1.
He shed His precious blood
And rescued me from the power of death.
He gave me new life, poured out His blessings,
And raised me up
To share in the blessings of heaven.

2.
When the waves crash against the boat of my life,
I will not be afraid.
My Lord, who once walked upon the waves,
Is my refuge and my safe shelter.

3.
Even when He tests me,
I will not complain.
Whatever His holy will may be,
I only ask that He lead me
According to His purpose.

4.
At the end of my journey,
I will come into the glorious presence of my Teacher and Lord,
Clothed in a new and transformed body.
Then I will fully understand
The immeasurable greatness
Of His eternal riches of grace.
