1.
I was weary and broken with sorrow,
Searching everywhere for a place of refuge.
My Savior poured out His precious blood,
And opened His heart to save me.

He took away the burden of my sins,
And removed every curse from me.
He filled me with the Holy Spirit
And placed God’s love within my heart.

3.
My God came to dwell within my heart,
To reign there as my Lord.
The Mighty One came into my life
To turn my heart of stone into a heart of flesh.

4.
I had no strength to keep His commandments,
And no ability of my own to obey.
But the Father blessed me that day
And gave me the strength I needed.

5.
The power of sin was driven away,
And God’s power came to dwell within me.
He made me a dwelling place for God,
Making my heart His very home.

6.
For all these countless blessings,
I am so completely unworthy.
Yet here I am, like a lifeless dog,
Bowing at Your feet, kissing them,
And singing Your praises.
