1. Brothers and sisters, rejoice!
Rejoice always in the Lord.
How could we ever forget His love—
His wonderful love?
Let us awaken and sing His praises!

2. Jesus our Lord has given us
an inner joy that this world cannot give.
Even when our burdens become heavy,
He is the One who has given us
a joy that never ends.
Let us remember this and rejoice!

3. While thousands upon thousands of people
are heading helplessly toward destruction,
we have received a great blessing in Christ:
we have become children of God
and have received a glorious inheritance.

4. Let us love one another
and live together in unity.
Let us lift up and proclaim His holy name.
Whatever may come, let us not be afraid.
Our mighty Lord will lift us up,
and our King will triumph.
