pay close attention!

The one who believes will not perish,
falling into the lake of fire under the curse of sin.
God loved the world so that people might live forever
and not be destroyed.
He sent His Son to save the world,
and condemned sin in His own flesh.

Humanity lay upon the earth in the shadow of death,
with no light and no comfort in sight.
So the great Giver, in His mercy,
caused the Light of Life to rise for us,
bringing comfort to those who were in darkness.

3.
O death, I am not afraid of you!
Jesus, who conquered you, is my refuge.
He has defeated you, and He gives me life.
He now reigns at the right hand of God,
with all authority,
to give us eternal life.
