1.
When I think of the day we enter the New Jerusalem,
All the sorrow of this earthly life fades away.
In that land where there is no suffering or hunger,
We will live in the joyful home the Lord has prepared for us.
Wearing glorious and beautiful crowns,
We will reign forever with Jesus, the King of kings.

On that day, the darkness of sorrow will disappear
In the radiance of the Sun of Righteousness.
There will be no fear and no injustice at all.
Those will be wonderful, joy-filled days—
The days when the Lord will reign over the earth.
Sorrow, sickness, war, and the rebellion of angry nations
Will all disappear when King Jesus reigns on earth.

3.
The holy ones who have walked faithfully
On the path of truth and purity,
Together with all God’s redeemed children,
Will enter Zion with shouts of joy.
All sorrow and sighing will come to an end.
They will wear everlasting joy upon their heads,
And time itself will disappear into eternity.
