I searched for water
In broken, empty cisterns,
Thinking I would find something to drink.
But when I bent down to drink,
They mocked at me.

Until the day Your grace gives my eyes
The sight to behold You, the Beautiful One,
Sin may still appear attractive to me.
But when I finally see You,
My true joy will be found in You alone.
