1. Poya raavil muzhuvan karunayodenne sookshicha naadaa
   Nandiyode thiru snehathinaayi njaan vandanam cheythidunnu

3. Mannithil marthyaganam palavidha kastanastam sahikkum
   Neramenikku thann sukham samaadaanamiva ninachu-
    
4. Dukhangal vannidilum thava daasan rogiyaay theernnidilum
   Dukham sahicha naadaa! Thirukrupa thannu paalikkaname-
    
5. Innu pakal muzhuvan thiruhithamen modamaayirippaan
   Swargeeyamanna thannu adiyanu shakthi pakarnnidane-
    
6. Innente kriyakalum maathramalla vaakmanobhaavangalum
   Shudhamaay sookshikkuvaan shudhaatmaavaal enne nayikkaname
    
7. Paapaandhakaarathinaal niranjathaam paarithil jyothissupol
   Paaram prakaashameki paarthiduvaan praapthanaay theerthidane- 

Meaning:

1.
O Lord, You protected me with mercy throughout the past night.
With a grateful heart, I bow before You
and thank You for Your unfailing love.

2.
Though the night was filled with darkness
and many kinds of evil were at work,
You guarded me through the protection of Your angels
and kept me safe.

3.
While many people on earth
suffer various hardships and losses,
I remember with gratitude
the rest and peace You graciously gave me.

4.
Even when troubles come,
and even when Your servant becomes sick,
O Lord who endured suffering,
give me Your grace and continue to sustain me.

5.
Throughout this entire day,
may Your will be my joy.
Give me heavenly manna
and strengthen me to live for You.

6.
Guide me by Your Holy Spirit
so that not only my actions today,
but also all my words, thoughts, and attitudes
may be kept pure.

7.
In this world filled with the darkness of sin,
make me capable of living as a light,
shining brightly and giving abundant light
wherever I am.
