Meaning:

We must serve God with our whole heart.
This is what is required
if we are to become complete and mature
in our devotion to Him.

1. God will not accept worship
that is offered with only half a heart.
Such half-hearted service
will not bring His blessing.

2. Cain’s offering was deficient in many ways,
and because of this,
it became a source of wrongdoing
and brought a great curse.

3. A sincere and wholehearted commitment
to serving God
will bring lasting life,
and God will accept such service.

4. Whatever we have and call our own—
everything entrusted to us—
should continually be given
for the service of others and of God.

5. Our body, reputation, knowledge, strength,
and material possessions—
we must be willing
to give all these to God
and remain faithful in doing so.

6. Once we have given something to God,
we should not begin taking it back.
What we offer must remain given.
In due time, the fruit of such faithfulness
will surely come.

7. God commands us to become complete,
just as our heavenly Father is perfect.
Therefore, we must fulfill
His command wholeheartedly.
