O Beloved Lord of my soul,
Let me behold Your holy presence.
I stand here waiting for You,
Longing to see You without ever looking away.
1
O One who makes even
The manger at Bethlehem holy,
Come and reveal Yourself to me.
2
When will I behold
Your radiant form,
Beautiful in purity and glory?
3
When will I see Your presence,
More beautiful and precious
Than a robe adorned with sapphires?
4
You are my beloved,
And I am forever Yours.
I belong to You,
And You belong to me.
5
O Mystery unknown
Even to the learned scholars of Scripture,
Yet revealed to those who love You.
6
Here I am, overwhelmed
And carried away by the power of Your love;
Your love has completely captured my heart.
7
Even the greatest floods
Cannot extinguish
The fire of love within me.
