I am going today for Jesus,
I am going as a soldier of the cross.

Even when insults, persecution,
And times of pain come my way,
I will not grow weary
Or give up here in this world.

The One who called me is faithful,
The mighty One who never changes.
Looking to Jesus, the Author and Leader of my faith,
I will keep moving forward.

In times of loneliness and need,
When burdens become heavy,
My Lord is my source of comfort
And my faithful Helper.

I want none of the glory this world can offer.
Everything I truly need
I will always find in Christ.

I will run my race without turning back,
Never giving up.
And when my journey is finally over,
I will find rest in my heavenly home.
