‘Lavodikya sabhaa doothe’ Rev. 3: 14-22

           Paramaatmaavura cheyyum mozhiyellaa
           Sabhakalum shravikkanam
           Sthiranaam saakshiyum vishwasthanumaaya
           Srushtiyinnaadya nila labichoru vimalanothina-
           Mozhi dharikkukil shubhamezhum thava-

1. Sheethamall ushnavumalla thavagunam ethennu nijavumilla
   Ee vidhaminiyum nee vaadiya jalam pole
   Naal kazhikkukil ninne njaan mama
   Vaayil ninnu purath umizhnnidum-
    
2. Njaanoru dhanithanne-enikkilla deenatha lavaminnu
   Maanamodidam cholli heenanaay kurudanaay
   Neeyirippathu kaanka paranude
   Munnil veenariyikka neeyathu-
    
3. Sambannaavathinnunde thanithankam
   Venvasthram dharippaanundu
   Nin kannu theliyuvaan lepavum vilackkunde
   Vannu vaanguka shikshayaal priyare
   Njaanunarthunnith arika nee-
    
4. Maansaantharappeduka erivodu
   Nee maanasam thuranniduka
   Vaathililaham ninnu muttunnaayathu kettu
   Yaathoru naran thurannu tharikila-
   Pputhanodu njaan virunnu kazhinjidum-
    
5. Sathyamaay jayam kollum
   Bhadannu njaan othiripparulidum
   Kruthyamaayaham mevum bhadraasana mathinkal
   Nithyamaayavan vaazhum lavudikya
   Madhyatho jaichenna viruthinaal-- 

Meaning:

Let every church listen
to the word spoken by the Lord.
He is the true and faithful witness,
the One who is the beginning (Originator) of God’s creation.
If you receive and obey His word,
it will bring blessing to you.

1. I know your works:
you are neither cold nor hot.
I wish that you were one or the other!
But because you are lukewarm—
neither hot nor cold—
I will spit you out of my mouth.

2. You say, “I am rich;
I have become wealthy and need nothing.”
Yet you do not realize
that you are miserable, poor, blind, and naked.
You boast before others,
but this is your true condition.

3. I advise you to buy from me
gold refined in the fire,
so that you may truly become rich;
and white clothing to wear,
so that your shameful nakedness may not be seen.
Buy from me ointment for your eyes,
so that you may see clearly.
I discipline and correct those whom I love.
Therefore, understand this and respond to my correction.

4. Repent, and be zealous!
Open your heart.
Look—I am standing at the door and knocking.
If anyone hears my voice
and opens the door,
I will come in and share a meal with that person,
and that person will share a meal with me.

5. To the one who overcomes and remains faithful,
I will grant the privilege of sitting with me
on my throne,
just as I overcame
and sat down with my Father on His throne.
