   Paripaalanam cheythapol
   Iravil krupa tharika naadaa
   Sukhamaayurangiduvaan-
    
2. Nishayil varum vinakal neekki
   Nikhileshaa nee saaduve
   Nindra cheythunarnniduvolavum
   Bhadramaay kaathu paalikka-
    
3. Puthiya balam darichu thiru-
   Hitham pole njaan nadappaan
   Pularkaale ninmukha kaanthika-
   ndunaraan krupayarulka- 

Meaning:

As the sun sets and darkness spreads across the earth, O Lord,
I come into Your holy presence
and sing songs of praise.

1.
Just as You cared for me throughout the day by Your grace,
O Lord, give me Your grace tonight
so that I may sleep peacefully.

2.
O Lord of all, remove the dangers
that may come during the night.
Keep and protect Your humble servant safely
until I sleep and awaken again.

3.
Grant me grace to awaken at dawn,
renewed with new strength,
so that I may walk according to Your will
and live each day looking toward the light of Your face.
