          Raajan bhayannilakidumaar-udicha raajaave!

   Keettu thuni pattaayikkaanum swarggaraajaave!-
    
2. Vinnulakam deepamenthi upacharikkunnu- ninte
   Ponnu janmam dootharellaam paadi vaazhthunnu-
    
3. Kinginikal kilukki gokkal modam kaattunnu-bhoomi
   Mangalamaam ven pudava dharichu mevunnu-
    
4. Pazhaya paambin thala thakarkkaan bhoovil vannone!-lokam
   Vazhi nadappaan puthiya maargam thurannu thannone!-
    
5. Katdina rogam thdadithi neekki sukhamarulidum-bhavaan
   Kodiya kaattin padutha neekkum nija vachanathaal-
    
6. Kurishilulla nija mruthiyaal manuja makkalkku-ghora
   Narakamathinnadiyil ninnu viduthalekidum-
    
7. Eliyavarkku niravaruli tharunna raajaave!-ninte
   Pilarnna chankil marayuvathinn arulka raajaave!-

Meaning:

O King whose feet were worshiped by the wise men from the East (The Persians),
O King whose birth caused the king of Judah to tremble and fear!

O King who made a manger of straw His bed,
O heavenly King who accepted a mere cloth as Your garment!

2.
The heavenly hosts welcome You with lamps of light;
all the angels sing and praise Your glorious birth.

3.
You who came into the world to crush the head of the ancient serpent,
You who opened a new way for the world to walk in!

4.
You who immediately remove terrible diseases and give healing,
You who calm the raging storms by Your mighty word!

5.
Through Your own death upon the cross,
You give the children of humanity deliverance
from the depths of dreadful hell.

6.
O King who fills the humble and needy with Your blessings,
grant me refuge in Your wounded and pierced side, O King!
