Meaning:

Holy God, who shows mercy to a sinner;
I Bow at your feet.
Did You love Me, a sinner,
And come searching for me in this world?

I had lived as a sinful and rebellious person,
Speaking against others and living far away from You.
Yet You came searching for me
And lifted me out of the deep mire.

2.
To take away my sins
And bring me into heaven,
You became like a lowly human being for my sake.
What could I ever give You in return?
I will be devoted to You all my life.

3.
You left the glory of heaven
So that You could bring me into heaven.
Now I have no greater joy
Than serving You with all my heart.

4.
You alone conquered the fear of death,
Which is the result of sin.
You are my life, my peace,
And everything I need, forever.

5.
I have turned away from all the empty attractions
And appearances of this temporary world.
Your incomparable love
Has completely captured my heart, Lord.
