Meaning:

1.
To drive away the deadly poison of sin,
To break the power of Satan,
Our Savior came down to this earth.
Glory be to Jesus!

He died upon the cross for me—
Glory be to Jesus!

He saw my hopeless and helpless condition.
He endured the fire of divine judgment,
And His holy blood fell like drops of sweat.
Glory be to Jesus!

They struck His beautiful face,
Pressed a crown of thorns upon His head,
And beat His back again and again,
Leaving His body torn and bruised.
Glory be to Jesus!

He stretched out His hands and feet upon the cross,
And cruel men drove nails through them.
He endured such terrible suffering
All because of His love for me.

I give my life to Jesus;
I surrender everything I have to Him.
May my life become holy and pleasing to Him.
