Paralokam paapikalkkekiduvaan
Suralokamahima sakalavum vedinju

Thakarunnu kaalvary maamalayil
Choriyunnu kurishinmel chenchoradaara
Manuvel mashiha maanavarkkaayi
Akhilaandam chamachon paapikku badalaay

- Irulunnu ulakaake pilarunnu paara
Uyiraarnnu bhaktharin mruthadeham
Keerunnu maraneekkaan thirasheela neele
Kurishil mashiha uyir vitta neram
Paavana rudhiram paapikalkkaruli Paraloka maarggamathre-
Meaning:
God came to this world, seeking sinners,
So that He might give heaven to those who had sinned.
He laid aside all the glory of heaven
And humbled Himself
Even to the cross.

The holy body of the Most High,
Who came to give life to the world,
Was broken upon Mount Calvary.
A stream of precious blood
Flowed from Him upon the cross.
Immanuel, the Messiah,
Willingly offered Himself
As a sacrifice in the place of sinners,
For the sake of humanity.

The whole world grew dark,
The rocks were split apart,
And the bodies of the faithful who had died
Were raised to life.
The curtain of the Temple was torn apart,
Opening the way.
At the moment when the Messiah
Gave up His life on the cross,
His holy blood opened
The way to heaven for sinners.
