Let us prepare with one heart and one purpose
For the coming of our Bridegroom, Jesus.
Since we do not know the moment when He will come,
Let us stay awake and ready,
Keeping our lamps burning
As we wait to welcome the Lord of Life.

Let us build upon Christ the King, our firm foundation,
Using gold, silver, and precious stones.
Works built with wood, grass, or straw
Will be burned up and destroyed.
Oh, what a loss!

When Jesus, our glorious and beloved Lord,
Comes from heaven for His saints,
Let us remain firm and faithful,
So that we will not be ashamed
When we stand before Him.

Let us continue to trust in His holy name
And wait without growing weary.
Until the very end,
Let us never abandon
The love we had at the beginning.

Knowing that this earth will one day be destroyed,
And eagerly waiting to see our Beloved,
How holy and devoted our lives should be!
How faithfully and reverently we should live!

Let us put to death the works of the flesh
And overcome the forces of Satan.
