1. Christ lives forever, like an unshakable rock.
Yet people foolishly build their houses
on shifting sand,
without realizing how fragile the world is.
When the rains pour down,
the waters rise,
and the waves beat against the house,
what will happen then?
But the house built on solid rock
will stand firm and strong.

2. Family background, strength, position, wealth, and education—
all these are like sand.
Nothing in this earthly world is truly permanent.
Therefore, understand that it is foolish
to build your life
by placing your confidence in these things.

3. The One who died and rose again—
does He ever change?
Everything on this earth is shaken
because human circumstances and pride change.
Everything may be shaken;
even mountains may crumble and flow away.
But those who belong to Him
will never be shaken.

4. The stone that the builders rejected
has now become the cornerstone.
When we come to Him and are built upon Him,
we become living stones,
formed into a spiritual house
that stands firm and cannot be shaken.
