Psalm 90
Njangalude vaasasthala mennum paran nee
Bhangamillulakinnum malakalkkum bahumun -nee
Meaning:
You, O Lord, have always been our dwelling place,
Even before the mountains were formed,
Before the earth and the world came into being,
You have always been God.
1
You turn humanity back to dust,
Saying, “Return, O children of mankind.”
Yet You also call them back from destruction
And bring them into life again.
2
A thousand years in Your sight
Are like yesterday that has passed,
Like a brief watch in the night.
3
You sweep people away like a flood;
They are like a dream in the night,
Like grass that springs up in the morning.
4
Our life is short, even if it increases a little,
In a moment it is cut short,
And we quickly pass away.
5
Satisfy us each morning with Your unfailing mercy,
So that all our days we may rejoice
And be glad in You.
6
Teach us to understand the wisdom of our hearts;
Help us to number our days
So that we may live with wisdom.
