I will follow my Lord—
the Lord who died on the cross and rose again,
the mighty One who never changes,
the same yesterday, today, and forever.

How great His compassion!
He willingly suffered to take away my terrible sins.
He was even willing to give His pure and holy life
so that I might be saved.

Though there are many trials in this world,
and though many painful times may come,
I will continue to follow Him.

Serving His blessed feet
is my greatest desire.
And to be despised for His sake
is my honor and my joy.

When I become weary
and grow faint on my earthly journey,
He will support me
with the very hands that were pierced by the nails.

Along the darkest road,
He will come beside me as my Companion.
Even in the presence of my enemies,
He will prepare a rich feast for me.

Surely goodness and mercy
will follow me all my days.
And in my heavenly home,
I will dwell with Him
throughout all eternity.
