My God, lead me always according to Your will.
Even when troubles come,
Keep me from ever turning away from Your path.

When sorrow fills my heart
And weighs heavily upon me here on earth,
O Mighty Lord, there is no one but You
Who can truly comfort me.

Even when the enemy shoots
His sharpest arrows at me with all his strength,
Lord, You will gather me into Your precious hands
And keep me safe.

3.
Even if my friends abandon me,
And even if people criticize and slander me,
I have Christ Jesus with me;
Therefore, I have nothing to fear
And no reason to be shaken.

4.
My Beloved, when will You come?
When will all my tears finally end?
My tears will not be wiped away completely
Until I see Your face
With my own eyes.
