Meaning:

1. From Your holy Word, help me understand
   The wonderful truths within it clearly and beautifully, Jesus.

2. Let the ruler of darkness not disturb my thoughts;
   Beloved Lord, keep Your thoughts within me from beginning to end.

3. From Your true Word, O Holy Spirit,
   Plant the words of eternal life firmly in my heart.

4. Let Your Spirit-breathed words become firmly rooted within me through faith,
   So that I may surely receive Your comfort and peace.
