Nin sannidhiyil daivame! poornna-
Santhosham poornna bhaagyame
Lokathin impangalaal shokam vardhikkunnithaa
Raagangal dehathilum rogangal aathmaavilum
Meaning:
In Your presence, O God, there is perfect joy and perfect blessing.
The pleasures of this world only increase sorrow,
and its passions afflict the body while sickness troubles the soul.
1
As the deer longs for streams of water,
so my soul longs for You.
You are the joy of my humble heart;
come and dwell within me,
O Lord and Master of my life.
2
My rest is not found in creation,
but only in You, my Creator.
You are not evil, but good,
and You freely pour Your pure and innocent joy
into a heart that seeks You.
3
You are the one true God,
and through Christ, our Mediator,
You give Your servant perfect truth and peace.
In You there is eternal life—
a life that will swallow up death forever.
4
As a witness that I am Your child,
You have sealed me with Your Spirit.
The more I have feared and turned away from You,
the more You have loved me,
making me Your friend
through Your amazing and tender affection.
5
Through my five senses,
this world constantly tries to deceive me
and draw me away from Your love.
So I earnestly seek refuge in You,
pleading with You to hide me
and keep me close to Your heart.
6
Let my home and dwelling be in You;
I desire nothing else.
In heaven, You are my heaven;
on earth, You are my treasure,
my shining precious jewel—
today, forever, and for all eternity.
Amen.
