Ninakkaayen jeevane mara kurishil
vedinjen makane!

7.Orikkalum ente parama snehathe

Karalalinju njaaniva sakalavum
sahichen jeevane vedinju.

Meaning:

My Son, I gave My life for you
Upon the wooden cross.
How can you live each day on this earth
And forget what I have done for you,
My precious child?

1.
For your sake, I gave up
All the joys and glory that were Mine.
To bear away your terrible sins,
I took the form of a servant
And humbled Myself for you.

2.
I carried the burden of your suffering
Before My Heavenly Father.
Overwhelmed and exhausted,
I struggled under its weight,
And My sweat fell like drops of blood.

3.
I carried the heavy cross
And climbed to the top of Calvary.
Then strong men seized Me,
Dragged Me away,
And laid Me upon that great cross.

4.
They stretched out My hands and feet
And drove iron nails through them.
Without the slightest mercy,
They hammered them in,
Until My blood flowed freely.
My precious child, remember what I endured for you!

5.
Overcome by terrible thirst
And weakness,
My tongue became dry.
When I cried out for water,
Remember what was given to Me
In that hour of agony.

6.
Then a merciless soldier
Took a great spear
And pierced My side.
My wounded heart was opened,
And water and blood
Flowed out at once.

7.
When you remember all this,
Can you ever forget
My immeasurable love for you?
My heart was broken with compassion for you.
I endured all these things
And finally gave My life for you.

My child, remember My love.
I gave My life for you.
