   Paalanamekiyone-naadaa
   Divyamaam paalanam nalkiyee raathriyil

3. Annavasthraadiyum deha sukhangalum
   Thannenne pottiyone ninte
   Chareyananju nin paavana naamathe
   Vaazthi stuthichidunne-
    
4. Bheethiyakannu nin sannidhiyilinnu
   Allalillaathurangi-kaale
   Santhoshamodunarnnunnatha naadane
   Paadi stuthichidume-
    
5. Andhakaaram bhoovileridunne naadaa
   Kaividaathe nadathi-puthen
   Pon prabhaatham varum neramathuvare

Meaning:

1.
The hour grows dark,
and the deep darkness increases. Stay with me, Lord.
In this time when darkness surrounds me,
be my light and keep me safely protected.

2.
O Lord, You who cared for me
throughout the journey of this past day,
give me Your divine protection tonight
and lovingly watch over me.

3.
You have provided me with food, clothing,
health, strength, and all that I need.
Now I come near You,
praising and worshiping Your holy name.

4.
Let all fear leave me in Your presence.
May I sleep tonight without trouble or anxiety,
and awaken in the morning with joy
to sing praises to You, O Lord.

5.
As darkness increases over the earth,
O Lord, lead me without ever abandoning me.
Until the new golden dawn appears,
lovingly watch over and protect me.
