1.
He knew what humanity truly needed,
So He was born on earth for our sake.
Though we were afflicted with the disease of sin,
He came to bring comfort and hope to sinners.

He who dwelt in the highest heaven,
Exalted above all among the hosts of angels,
Gave up everything and came to this earth.
Oh, how deep and immeasurable His love is!

He gives comfort to those
Who are deeply troubled and weighed down by sorrow.
He willingly gave His own life
To transform sinners into people who are righteous and good.

He endured many kinds of suffering on this earth
And made me, a sinner, His own child.
Unmatched, unmatched is the love of Calvary!
Remembering that love,
I will praise my Lord and Savior.

Our Lord promised that He would come again
To take us to be with Him,
And now His coming is drawing near.
When I see the signs pointing to His return
Appearing everywhere,
My heart overflows with joy.
