Meaning:

O Emmanuel, how beautiful You are!
Your face is wonderfully radiant and lovely.
Every day I will rejoice
in the glory and beauty of Your face.

1.
May the sorrows of this troubled world fade away.
O Lord, let the light of Your face
shine upon me moment by moment.
Those who live on this earth
while looking toward Your face
will never be put to shame.

2.
You willingly allowed Your face
to be covered with the spit of wicked people
and to be greatly humiliated.
Was it not for my sake that You endured this?
That same face now shines upon me
and lovingly watches over me every day.

3.
May the attractions and pleasures of this world
never become more appealing to my heart than You.
O Beautiful One, make my heart Your dwelling place
and live there forever.
I will praise Your incomparable name,
singing songs of thanksgiving—
praise, praise to You!
