1
O mighty Victor who conquered death,
Jesus, my Lord!
You are the Life that has completely swallowed up my death.
I want Your life to live in me;
I no longer want to live merely by my own strength.
My one desire is that You would dwell within me.
2
I have died with Christ to the world and to sin on the cross,
and I have embraced You for a new life.
My true life is now in heaven,
and Jesus Himself is my dwelling place.
What an amazing thing—that I, so unworthy,
can live in the heavenly places with You!
3
The water of life flows through me
and refreshes my heart.
Peace, love, and joy blossom within me like flowers.
This is the garden that belongs to my Beloved;
He walks through it Himself,
watching over it day and night.
4
Your strength is my strength;
in You, I have everything I need.
Your devotion becomes my devotion—
in You, I am truly rich.
My Beloved is mine, and I belong to Him.
He purchased me for Himself
by giving His own blood on the cross.
5
Jesus, guard and preserve the eyes of my faith.
Do not allow the dust of this world
to fall upon them and cloud my vision.
If Satan sends distracting thoughts
like swarms of flies,
help me close my eyes to them immediately.
6
I want nothing from this world;
Jesus is enough for me.
Satan, do not tempt me with your worldly treasures—
take them all away.
My heart is rising upward like an eagle;
the earth lies far below me,
and I want nothing to do with its impurity.
7
Jesus, You are alive,
and because You live, I too will live forever.
Eternal life flows from You
and will continue to flow within me.
You are in heaven now,
and soon I too will be there,
dwelling with You forever
in the fellowship of Your love.
