The One who broke the chains
Of slavery in Egypt is near.
The King of kings is with you,
Watching over you day and night.

Has He not carried you safely
Through the years that have passed,
Holding you in His precious hands?
Did He not care for you on this earth
And nurture you like something precious?

3.
Do not be afraid of the Jordan ahead.
Have you forgotten the Red Sea He parted?
Moses may pass away,
Joshua may also pass away,
But Jesus our Lord will never change.

We are not far from reaching the shore;
There is only a little time left. Hallelujah!
Let us sing aloud songs of thanksgiving—
Our wilderness journey is almost over!
