What joy there will be for God's people on that day!

2. Our Lord will return just as He went away.
He will reward us for all the work we have done.
Oh, everyone will lift their voices
and sing songs of thanksgiving!

3. All division will come to an end,
and the saints will be gathered together as one.
All sorrow will disappear,
and every unending trouble will cease.
Oh, every tear will be wiped away!

4. The holy ones will come together
and appear upon the earth as one people.
All impurity will be removed,
and we will live in holiness and goodness.
Oh, the armies of evil will tremble and mourn!

5. New roses will bloom in the desert,
and songs of divine praise
will resound throughout the earth.
Oh, what glorious sounds of heavenly joy!

6. In the beautiful new city
that has been prepared for us,
we will live forever in Zion,
forever and ever,
near our Life-giving Lord.
