He came to this world as a Son of man,
The One who died for all humanity.

He lifted from me the heavy burden of sin
And freed me from every curse, blessing me instead.
He called me out of the darkness where I was living,
Brought me into His holy presence, and held me close.

He gave His life and redeemed me;
He conquered death and rose again to life.
Even now He reigns in glory,
Greatly honored and praised—Immanuel.

I will follow Him, taking up my cross,
Rejecting the pleasures of this world each day.
In humility, I will remain very close to Him,
Giving my wealth, honor, and everything I have to my Lord.

He will come swiftly from heaven
And gather His servants to Himself.
All our tears will finally be wiped away,
And in heaven He will give us our reward
In that glorious gathering.
