Meaning:
O mother Jerusalem, what a wondrous sight!
How beautiful will be the day
when you come from heaven above!
This maiden is the Bride
who has adorned herself beautifully
for her Bridegroom.
She is clothed in fine linen—
the pure and righteous deeds of God's people—
and with her beautiful, radiant eyes
she appears wonderfully lovely.
She is not like the prostitute Babylon,
wandering in the wilderness.
Instead, she stands firmly and securely
upon the great and mighty mountain.
In her, length, breadth, and height
are perfectly proportioned and complete.
There is no other city like her.
Her sun and moon never abandon her,
for she has no need of them.
Her glory never fades,
and her radiance has no end.
Her ears are filled with delightful music,
songs that bring joy and comfort.
And she herself continually sings
songs of gladness.
She may not wear ornaments
of gold, pearls, or precious stones;
yet her beauty is incomparable,
and her appearance is exceedingly lovely.
