2. Nee vaakkaal cheythorulakil ninkai rachichorkkarikil
   Nee vanna neram bahumathi-aayavar thannathu kurisho!
    
3. Ennaadhiyakattaan thaniye krooshedutha devasuthaa!
   Pinnaale njaanen krooshumeduthu varunnithaa krupa thaa
    
4. En jeevitha kaalam muzhuvan nin sneha maadhuryam
   Paadipukazhthaan naadha! tharika naavinu chaathuryam

Meaning:

Who is this walking up the hill, carrying the cross?
Who is this suffering so deeply,
Dying like a helpless man?

1.
Is He the one and only Son of the Almighty God?
The One whom the holy angels worship?
Is He the loving Savior
Who left heaven and came down to earth
To search for us and save us?

2.
You created this world by Your word
And formed us with Your own hands.
Yet when You came to the very people You created,
Was the cross the reward they gave You?

3.
O Son of God, You carried the cross alone
To take away my sorrow and sin.
Now, by Your grace,
I will follow You, carrying my own cross.

4.
Lord, give me the grace and ability
To spend my whole life
Singing and proclaiming
The sweetness and greatness of Your love.
