O pilgrim to Zion, you are traveling to the other shore,
Do not be afraid when you see the waves.
The One who has power over the wind and the sea
Is in the boat with you.

When you are traveling in the boat of faith,
And become weary from pulling at the oars,
Do not be afraid—the Lord is with you.
He will bring you safely
To the heavenly harbor.

This is not my true homeland;
I am only a stranger and pilgrim here.
My eternal homeland is on the other shore,
And there is a home being prepared for me there.

The Lamb Himself is its lamp,
And there is not even the slightest darkness there.
He will give me a crown
And dress me in a beautiful garment
For the great celebration.
