Meaning:

When will my tears be wiped away?
When will all my pain finally end?
Come, Lord, to rescue me
In these days of suffering.

There is nothing lasting for me in this world;
Everything I have gained is only temporary.
I am a stranger here, a traveler passing through—
This world is not truly my home.

Lord, my heart longs to reach
That place of rest You have prepared for me.
Please do not delay any longer;
I have so little strength left to remain here.
