I lift my eyes toward
Mount Zion, which is my refuge.

My help comes from the One
who made the heavens and the earth,
the One who created all things.

2.
He will not allow my feet to slip along the way;
my Lord and Guardian never sleeps
and never grows weary.

3.
The Lord who watches over me,
the Keeper of Israel,
stays beside me as my shelter and shade.

4.
He will protect me from every evil
both day and night.
He keeps danger far from me—
what a joyful life this is!

5.
He watches over all my coming and going,
and He will faithfully guard me
and lead me safely, always.
