1
When I struggle greatly in the valley of tears,
the One who shed His own tears will take care of my situation.
Do not let your heart be troubled;
do not let your heart lose courage.
I am always with you,
and I will remain with you to the very end.
2
Whether it is a path covered in deep darkness
or a cruel time of testing,
when such trials surround you,
the shadow of the cross will be there for you.
3
Let the fiery furnace come,
the lions' den, the deep pit, the wilderness,
the prison cell, the saw,
or even death itself—
whatever may come, I will not fear.
4
How long must we wait, Beloved,
for Your coming?
There is not much longer to wait
until all our suffering comes to an end.
5
When I am thirsty and weary,
struggling under heavy burdens,
the One who once quenched my thirst
will give me living water again.
6
Just as Your servant cried out
at the shore of the Red Sea,
the great burden that seems to be coming straight against me
will be taken away.
