My Lord will keep me with compassion;
with His heart full of mercy,
He will rule over me and protect me
with His holy hands forever.

Until the day of my death, without change,
according to His perfect and unchanging purpose,
I am certain that You, my Lord,
will continue to care for and preserve me.

Knowing that Your holy face is always watching over me
is the source of my courage.
Even though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I will not be afraid in the least.

Through an imperishable life-giving power,
as a child of the new birth,
You have given me spiritual renewal
through Your Word,
and You continue to preserve me.

I know whom I have believed in.
I am convinced that He is able to guard
what I have entrusted to Him
until the very end.
