The Most High will continually protect me;
He will lovingly shelter me under His holy wings.

He will deliver me from the enemy
and from spiritual death,
and faithfully preserve me
until He brings me into His eternal presence.

1.
My Lord and Savior has broken every snare
of the terrible enemy
and rescued my life.
He has removed the burden of slavery from me
so that I may draw close to Him,
remain with Him,
and live in His presence forever.

2.
When the enemy rushes toward me,
You stand beside me as my Friend
and give me the strength and ability
to overcome the enemy.
When troubles increase,
You guide me with Your watchful eye,
bring me among Your faithful people,
and fill me with joy.

3.
You have clothed me with the belt of truth,
the breastplate of righteousness,
the shield of faith,
and the helmet of salvation.
You have given me the shoes
of readiness to share the Gospel,
and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the Word of God.

4.
You have filled my heart with
love, joy, peace, holiness, and righteousness;
patience, humility, self-control, and contentment—
the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
Day after day,
You fill my heart with joy.

5.
When famine increases
and I have nothing left for my well-being,
You will lovingly carry me through
as You cared for Elijah at Zarephath.
When the land becomes dry
and even the water disappears,
You will remove my troubles
and provide me a place of refuge,
as You did for Elijah at the brook Cherith.

6.
Even when the fig tree bears no fruit,
and all the work of the vineyard comes to nothing,
even when the sheepfold and the barns are empty,
I will still place my hope in You
and continually praise Your holy name.

7.
And this is not all;
by Your grace alone,
I will be like a healthy tree
whose leaves continue to flourish.
Even in times of suffering and loss,
I will remain strong and fruitful,
living with steadfast hope
and reflecting Your glorious light
before the world.
