Jeevanenikkaay vedinja devakumaaraa!

1. Swargga mahimaasanavum nisthula prabhaa niravum
   Athryum vedinju bhoovilavatharichone!
   Avatharichone! thaazhma swayam varichone!-
    
2.  Anchuyava appavum meen randumangeduthu vaazhthi
   Anchu sahasram janathe poshippichone!
   Poshippichone, haa! santhoshippichone!-
    
3.  Kurirul niranjathaami ppaarinnu prakaasham nalki
   Bhoorisukham arulum mozhi arulicheythone!
   Arulicheythone! jeevavazhi thelichone!
    
4.  Paathakar naduvil mahaa paathakaneppol kurishil
   Nee thakarnnu mruthiyadanjath orkkunnayyo! njaan
   Orkkunnayyo! njaan athen perkkennarinjen

Meaning:

O Son of God, You gave Your life for me!
O Son of God, You who take away every sin!

1.
You left the glorious throne of heaven
And all its incomparable splendor,
And came down to earth.
You humbled Yourself
And willingly took the form of a servant.

2.
You took five loaves of bread and two fish,
Blessed them,
And fed five thousand people.
You satisfied their hunger
And filled their hearts with joy.

3.
You brought light to this world
Filled with deep darkness.
You spoke words that bring abundant joy
And showed us the path to life.

4.
Among criminals,
You were treated as the worst of sinners
And broken upon the cross.
You suffered and died.
When I remember this,
I understand that You did it all for me.
