Meaning:

The boat of my life is nearing, nearing the shores of heaven;
There is not much longer to remain on this earth.
I will see my beloved Lord’s glorious face
And sing songs of praise to Him.

One day we will leave this earthly life,
Where darkness surrounds us on every side.
We will enter heaven,
And live there forever,
Celebrating everlasting joy.

Though the great waves of the sea may rise
And cause my boat to drift and struggle,
The merciful Lord will guide it safely to shore.
My troubles will end, my sorrow will disappear,
And I will rejoice in the Lord.

3.
My Jesus will come and take me with Him
Into His own eternal kingdom.
My hope grows stronger each day
As I look forward to living forever with my beloved Lord
In heavenly Zion.
