Jeeva kireedathin kallukalil kaanunnu njaanoru vairamithaa
           Yeshuvin kaalkale pinthudarum
           Daasarennum pedum paadu thanne

1. Kristhuvin naamathilettidunna kashtathakk-illoru nashtam-alpam
   Susthira lokathinn-oharikke sathyamaayittithu pushti nalkum
    
2. Marthya jadam nashichidunnathee-
   Prudwiyil nammude bhaagyamallo
   Puthen-uduppukal kittum vare kashtathayaakilum kaathirikkaam
    
3. Manmayamaakina vaasasthalam vinnavan neekkunna naalilente
   Ponmayamaam divya koodaarathil
   Chemmayaay nithyavum vaanukollaam-
    
4. Asthikalaakave kathi konde vetti nurukkilum cherthanachu
   Agni kondaayava chuttennaalum
   Nithya bhujamenne-thaangum ennum
    
5. Kristhuvin kleshathin pettidaathe vittulla paadukalennudalil
   Pettava poorthiyaay theerum vare
   Kashtatha thaan mama koottu sakhi-
    
6. Yeshuvin divyamaam jeevanente naashamayamaaya dehamathil
   Aashu velippedunnaakil thira-
   Sheelayaamee-yudalenthenikke?-

Meaning:

1.
There is no true loss in the suffering we endure for the name of Christ.
For this suffering produces lasting spiritual strength
and prepares us for the eternal world that cannot be shaken.

2.
The destruction and decay of the mortal body
is a blessing for us in this world.
Even though we have suffering for a while,
we will wait till we receive our new clothing.

4.
Even if my bones are cut and broken by violence,
even if they are burned in fire,
the everlasting arms of God will hold me
and sustain me forever.

6.
If the divine life of Jesus is revealed
within this mortal and dying body of mine,
then what does this temporary earthly body matter?
It is only a curtain that will one day be removed.
