My Lord, You have cared for me until this very day;
From now on and forever, Your grace will be all I need.

1.
My Good Shepherd, if You are watching over me,
I will never lack anything I truly need.
You prepare a feast for me even among my enemies,
And You anoint my head with fragrant oil.

2.
Even if many who know me mock and ridicule me,
You lovingly care for me by Your grace.
You hide me beneath Your holy wings,
And give me precious shelter until the darkness passes.

3.
There is not a single moment in this wilderness
When I am without the protection of Your merciful hand.
You are my light through the night
And my shade in the heat of the day;
You will never leave me, not even for a moment.

4.
Even in the valley overshadowed by death,
I will not despair as one who has no refuge.
You will come near to me,
Hold my hand,
And lead me safely without letting me lose my way.

5.
There is hardly a place in this world
Where I can rest my head, O Son of Man.
So I will rest my head upon Your holy chest,
And peacefully lose myself
In the radiant glory of Your face.
