Victory! Victory to the pure Gospel—
the incomparable message of the cross!

1.
Sin brings great death;
its curse leads to the burning fires of hell.
But what God gives us by His grace
is forgiveness of sins through Christ.

2.
So that we would not burn in the fires of hell
or suffer forever,
the Son of God came to this world as a man,
to give us an eternal home with Him.

3.
He is a feast for the hungry soul
and the remedy for the deadly poison of sin.
He takes away our endless troubles
and freely gives abundant grace.

4.
Is there anything that can compare
with the blood He shed upon the cross?
Is there any name like His holy name
that can give us everlasting rest?

5.
Who else will love us as He does?
Who else will serve us as He does?
Who else can care for us day after day
like this mighty and gracious Lord?

6.
When we come near our Teacher and Lord Jesus,
there is joy—supreme joy!
And when the waves of this life are finally past
and we reach the other shore,
what greater joy there will be!
