  1. Innu pakal vinayoronnaay vannennaal karthane nin chirakin- keezhil
    Bhadramaay sharanam nalkiyathorthu njaan vandikkunnaadaravaay-
     
  2.  Shathruvinnasthram parakkum pakalilum raavin bhayangalilum- ghora
    Maariyo peedayo leshamezhaathenne paalichenthatbhuthamaay!-
     
  3. Kanneerilaandu valanju niraashayil lokar njerangidumbol-devaa
    Ethrayum modamaay paaduvaan nee thannu Bhaagyamee saadhuvinnu-
     
  4. Ghoramaam koorirulerunnu paarithil naadhane! nee velicham thukum
    Pon prabhaatham varum vela vare ninnil vishraamam thannidenam-

Meaning:

1.
Even though I faced many difficulties today,
I remember with gratitude how You provided me
with a safe haven under the shelter of Your wings, O Lord.
 
2.
You have protected me so wonderfully
from the enemy's arrows that fly by day
and the terrible dangers that threaten by night
that no plague or affliction has touched me.
3.
While people around me are exhausted with sorrow,
drowning in tears and groaning in despair,
O God, You have given this humble servant
the blessing of singing with great joy.
4.
Deep darkness is growing over this world, O Lord,
but You are the One who pours out light.
Until the golden dawn comes,
grant me rest and peace in You.
