Have mercy and let this marriage celebration
shine brightly today,
O ever-compassionate God!

Long ago, at Cana,
Your presence blessed a wedding,
when You turned the water into joyful wine.
In the same way, come among these newlyweds today
and bless their marriage with Your gracious presence.

From the beginning, You created humanity
as male and female,
and blessed them with the gifts of marriage.
You commanded them to have children,
to multiply, and to flourish upon the earth.

O God, who granted Your blessing
to Adam and those who came after him,
and who established marriage according to Your righteous will.
Jesus our Lord, likewise honor
and preserve this marriage.

O Lord who blesses Your true Church,
O noble Bridegroom of the beautiful Church,
O eternal Lord who watches over every heart,
O Jesus, our blameless and perfect Lord!

Grant this couple
a harmonious and joyful life together.
Give them freedom from sin
and the blessing of being Your children,
so that they may live happily
and faithfully in Your presence.

Just as Abraham’s servant faithfully carried out his mission
and sought a good wife for Isaac,
following Your gracious purpose,
so also bring these two together
and establish their union.

May this bride be a worthy wife
to her good bridegroom,
and may they live together in the joy of marriage,
free from sorrow and trouble,
walking faithfully in Your blessing.
