Meaning:

Until this day, God has led me;
until this day, God has kept me.
Because He has watched over and protected me on this earth,
I will praise Him forever with thanksgiving.

When I was battered by fierce winds,
when the burdens of life broke my heart,
He drew me close to His heart, saying,
“Do not be afraid; it will be alright.”
For this, I will praise Him forever with thanksgiving.

When I struggled in the deepest darkness,
when I cried because of my pain,
He comforted me with His own hands.
For this, I will praise Him forever with thanksgiving.

3.
Soon my life here on earth will come to an end,
and I will see my Beloved face to face.
On that day, all my burdens and sorrows will finally end.
Then, with thanksgiving, I will praise Him forever.
