The Shepherd, the Good Shepherd—Jehovah is the Good Shepherd!
He is my Shepherd who searches for His sheep
And takes away their distress.

He makes me lie down in green pastures
And leads me beside clear, refreshing waters.
Even in the darkest valley,
The valley of the shadow of death,
He gives me a safe place of refuge.

When a sheep has wandered away from the flock,
He searches for it, enduring great hardship.
When He finds it,
He carries it on His shoulders all the way home.
