Oh, dear friend, dear brother,
Please listen carefully to these words.
The deadly deception of this world,
Like deadly poison,
Will destroy us and cast us into hell.

Since there is no person on earth
Who is completely without sin,
Death comes upon us all
With terrible certainty.
As sin increased,
Our gracious Lord fulfilled righteousness completely
Through His perfect and holy sacrifice.

2.
Christ, the embodiment of divine truth,
Endured immense suffering for us.
Through His bitter suffering and precious sacrifice,
He dealt with our sin
And rose again to make us righteous.
Let us worship Christ our Lord,
The eternal Teacher and Master.

He gave His precious and holy blood
To preserve and redeem us sinners.
Let us worship the blessed One
Who awakens understanding within us
Through the Holy Spirit
And leads us into the blessed life of faith.

O sinner, repent!
Sinner, turn back and repent!
If a sinner truly repents,
Forgiveness of sins will come.
Do not let yourself be consumed
By the deceptive ways of this world
And reject this truth.

5.
Christ, Teacher of the world!
Christ, Supreme Teacher!
Christ, Teacher of divine truth!
Christ, Teacher of wisdom and knowledge!
Christ, Son of God!
Christ, Son of Man!
Christ, our Savior and Redeemer!
Let us praise Him with these words.
